OVERVIEW
Omnicell develops technology that helps hospitals manage medications safely and efficiently. Its Titan XT automated dispensing cabinet gives nurses access to medications at the point of care while helping pharmacy teams monitor inventory and keep essential supplies available.
In busy hospitals, these cabinets are used throughout the day by healthcare professionals who need to work quickly and accurately. As Omnicell advanced its medication management technology, the physical cabinets needed to evolve alongside it, supporting increasingly sophisticated workflows without adding complexity for the people using them.
Mighty partnered with Omnicell to redesign its automated dispensing cabinets, creating a more intuitive, cohesive product experience that supports healthcare professionals and integrates naturally into hospital environments.
INSIGHT
Automated dispensing cabinets are rarely used alone. They are often installed together as permanent systems within hospitals, making consistency across different configurations just as important as the design of an individual cabinet.
Mighty approached the redesign with this larger system in mind, introducing an asymmetrical design language that organizes functional elements and makes important interaction points easier to identify. Refined drawer fronts, integrated lighting, and clearly defined control areas create a more consistent and approachable experience across cabinet configurations.
The team also studied how healthcare professionals physically interact with the cabinets, considering drawer accessibility, reach, and the placement of frequently used controls. These ergonomic considerations helped shape a design that balances everyday usability with the technical demands of medication management.
The redesigned Titan XT brings a more cohesive, human-centered experience to Omnicell's medication dispensing technology, helping complex equipment feel simpler and more approachable in the environments where patient care happens.
